Who Am I

Hi, I am Sabine Chung

I’m a Product Designer and Developer who bridges the gap between human behavior and code, backed by a BSc in Cognitive Science and a Master By Research (MBR) in Applied Computing. Instead of just designing screen layouts, I use data-driven usability testing and structured logic to build interfaces that are highly functional, responsive, and completely realistic to build.

My goal is simple: deliver clean, reliable software that works exactly the way users expect it to. When I’m away from my screen, I stay creative through digital drawing, hitting the trails for a hike, or traveling to explore new places with friends.

Served as the overall Workshop Rooms Overview Lead volunteerfor RAYS2026, managing an 11-person team of room leads and volunteers across 5 workshop rooms to handle check-ins and balance crowd flow.
27 FEB 2026
Completed an intensive, one-day professional course covering the end-to-end data pipeline. Gained hands-on experience in cleaning complex datasets with Power Query and designing impactful, interactive visualizations with Microsoft Power BI.

Co-facilitated an impactful CFCI workshop engaging 61 child representatives from four Sarawak councils (Kuching South, Kuching North, Padawan, and Kota Samarahan). Successfully led sessions introducing the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), fostering youth awareness in local governance and community sustainability.

Participated in SYNC with the Ocean: Youth and Reef Restoration, attending focused conservation talks and workshops to deepen understanding of SDG 14 (Life Below Water), marine ecosystem vulnerability, and the role of youth advocacy in driving climate action.

Participated in InTEX2023 showcase part of my Master's Research project along with my Master’s Supervisor, Associate Professor Dr. Rehman Ullah Khan at Raia Hotel & Convention Centre Kuching. Awarded Silver in InTEX 2023

Participated in Hari Muzium Antarabangsa Peringkat Kebangsaan 2023, gaining insight into current national policies and digital initiatives within the Malaysian heritage sector.
JUN 2022
Participated in InTEX22 showcase final year research project along with my Final Year Project’s Supervisor, Associate Professor Dr. Abdulrazak Yahya Saleh Al-Hababi. It’s a 2-day conference at Pullman. Awarded Merit Award in IntEX22.

Participated in a beach cleanup organised by my friend Rene Chua at Pantai Pasir Panjang. It's her project for International Coastal Cleanup 2020.

As project president, I organized a welcoming trip to Kubah National Park in Kuching, Sarawak, for the Rotaract Club. Working closely with an incredible committee, we successfully coordinated all planning and activities to welcome our new members.

The event was held in partnership with the Rotary Club of Kuching, Sarawak Forestry Department, and Swinburne University Sarawak. During this collaborative mangrove planting project, I managed the Food and Beverage Unit for the Rotaract Club of UNIMAS, overseeing the organization and distribution of food and drinks for our team.
